Epcot Riviera

Chanson lounge 2:38 Suno v5.5

Dinner on the Riviera rooftop looks out over Epcot fireworks, a soft celebration at the end of a long day. The family is tired, dressed up, and glad to watch the sky from above the parks.

Where it came from

First take on the Riviera night, and the logic was airtight: the Riviera is French, and who’s more French than Serge Gainsbourg? Dressed-up rooftop dinner, Epcot fireworks in the distance — nothing else notable actually happened that evening, which is sort of the point. The whole night was just that view.

What I didn’t know yet was that this dinner would end up with three singles. This one started it.

Words from the week

Intro: brushed drums, upright bass, soft guitar

Bonsoir, Riviera The elevator sighs We rise above the palm trees To watch the painted skies

Verse 1: smoky spoken-sung male vocal

Dinner on the rooftop Glasses catching light Little forks and tired faces Dressed up for the night

Epcot in the distance A shimmer through the blue Fireworks like little secrets Opening for you

Chorus: elegant, restrained

Oh, Riviera High above the day The parks are glowing softly As the music floats away

Oh, Riviera Hold the evening still We are tired, we are lucky And the sky is overfilled

Verse 2: dry, witty

The children lean and wonder The grown-ups breathe again A little bit of Paris At the Florida end

The fireworks are blooming Red and gold and green A perfect little ending To a long and lovely scene

Final Chorus: slightly fuller, still restrained

Oh, Riviera High above the day The parks are glowing softly As the music floats away

Oh, Riviera One more quiet thrill We are tired, we are lucky And the sky is overfilled

Outro: soft spoken tag

Bonsoir, fireworks Bonsoir, sweet day From the rooftop of Riviera We watch it fade away
