Runaway Day at Hollywood Studios
Ska-punk pop 2:58 Suno v5.5
Hollywood Studios turns into a hot, hilarious scramble of Mickey and Minnie, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Star Wars, and Toy Story. Henry walks out with a droid, and the family limps back to Pop Century tired but triumphant.
Where it came from
This is the closing side of “Sleepin’ In and Rollin’ Out,” and the one-line summary of the day is: it was so damn hot.
The runaway in the title is literal. Frances hit her limit in the dead center of Hollywood Studios and tried to take her dress off right there because it was sweaty and soaked through — honestly, I get it, girl. I handed off my Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster slot and stayed behind with her; she’s a daddy’s girl, and what started as a meltdown turned into the two of us escaping the heat and eating popcorn together. Genuinely one of the good parts of the day.
Ska-punk was one of my favorite genres growing up, and nothing else fit the franticness of that afternoon.
